Customer service is one of the most advertised jobs in Nigeria, which means recruiters see hundreds of near-identical CVs. Almost all of them say "excellent communication skills". Very few show numbers: how many customers a day, how fast you resolved issues, and what customers said about you.
Numbers like these are usually on your team's dashboard. Ask your supervisor for your averages before you write your CV.

Tips for a stronger customer service CV
- 1
Swap adjectives for evidence
Replace "excellent communication skills" with a number: contacts a day, satisfaction score, or agent-of-the-month awards.
- 2
List the channels
Many employers now need chat and WhatsApp support, not only phone. Say which you have used.
- 3
Show you can write
For chat and email roles your CV is a writing sample. Short sentences, no spelling errors, no text-speak.
Questions people ask
What if my job didn't measure satisfaction?
Use what you can count: customers per day, complaints resolved, or compliments received. Be honest about estimates ("about 40 a day").
Is customer service experience useful for other careers?
Yes. It leads naturally into sales, account management, operations and HR. Show the transferable parts: handling pressure, solving problems and explaining clearly.
